Bilmediğimiz bir yerdeyiz ve elimizdeki kağıtta yazan adrese gitmemiz gerekiyor ise adres sorma cümlelerini kullanmamız gerekir. İngilizce de adres sormak için kullanılan bazı soruları ve cevaplarını aşağıda inceleyelim.
Örnek:
Afedersiniz, size bir adres sorabilir miyim? = Excuse me, Can I ask you an address?
Ben bu adrese gitmek istiyorum = I want to go to this address
Otobüs durağı nerede? = Where is the bus stop?
Tren istasyonu nerede? = Where is the train station?
Benim bu otele gitmem gerek = I need to g oto this hotel
Buraya yakın mı? = Is it close to here?
Evet, çok yakın = Yes, it is very near
Hayır, çok uzak = No, it is very far
Oraya nasıl gidebiliirm? = How can I go there?
Yolu haritada gösterebilir misiniz? = Can you show me the way on the map?
Oraya otobüsle gidebilirsiniz = You can go there by bus
Dosdoğru gidin, sonra sola dönün = Go straight ahead, then turn left
Orada tekrar sorun = Later ask again
Burası tek yön mü? = Is this a one way street?
Pardon, doğru yolda mıyım? = Excuse me, am I on the right way?
Yanlış yoldasınız, 5 km geri gidin = You are on the wrong way, go back for 5 km.
Ne kadar uzakta? = How far is it ?
1 km ilerde = 1 km away
Tuvalet nerede? = Where is the toilet?
Hangi yöne gideceğimi gösterir misiniz? = Will you please show me the direction?
Sağdaki ikinci sokağa sapın = Take the second street on the right.
Bu benim Türkiye’ye ilk gelişim = This is my first time in Turkey
Bankanın nerede olduğunu gösterir misiniz? = Will you please show me where the bank is?
Buradan metroya binin = Take the subway here
Oraya gitmek çok zaman alır mı? = Will it take me long to get there?
Hayır, yürüyerek sadece 5 dakika = No, it’s only five minutes’ on foot
